10. As regards last paragraph of your telegram, we note with extreme regret that there is likely to be considerable delay before definite decision can be obtained regarding suggestions

made in our telegram **,727 of the 6th way on the subject of

employment of Indim troupa overzean, Ginse the dear nich

of that talagram, we have further considered this question in Council. We are willing to seeept as a rermanent liability

the obligation which we understood before the war to provide, from Indian APKY, battalions required for garrison duties in China, Kalay (States), Celenho and Atm, As regards (Pandateŭ, territories, we are prepared to adent suggestion made in last paragraph of your talegem, 245l of hay 13th on the clear underetsuding that all charges connected, with extra native battalions which will be added to each of our groups will be borne by His Majesty's dovermat, as well as any extra sost definitely involved in the delay of deasbilisation in order to

give effect to your maggestion, You will understand that recruiting will not be resposed, in order to bring extra active battalions into being, or to maintain thes at full stress tb, until we are asmred that Miu dajesty's Governsent will bear the

full sest as proposed above. Also we must inpose the condition
